Congratulations to our 2020 and 2021 Massapequa Businessperson of the Year!

The Massapequa Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor our 2020 and 2021 Businessperson of the Year – these members were selected by our Chamber to be honored at the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce Businessperson of the Year and Legislative Breakfast. Since the 2020 event was cancelled last year, we are happy to have the opportunity to honor both of these deserving recipients in person. The criteria for selection is as follows:

• Are an active member of our Chamber of Commerce.

• Are the owner or manager of the business that is in our community.

• Have made a significant contribution to the local economy, to the advancement of the Chamber and has made a meaningful and important contribution to the general welfare of the local community

2020 Massapequa Businessperson of the Year: Howard Ritzer – Long Island Media Group

Howard Ritzer has been an account Executive/Training Manager for over 15 years, where he is the top producer at southbaynewspapers in the Massapequas. He brings in many new accounts and also works with charity accounts. Howard is a long-time Massapequa Chamber member, with over 13 years on the Chamber Board, and he is the Membership Committee Chairman, where he brings in many new Chamber members and coordinates their grand opening ribbon cuttings. He also serves on many other committees as well. Howard is devoted to the Massapequa community and enjoys working with all of the local officials, residents, and local merchants to help them brand their businesses. Congratulations to Howard Ritzer for all of his hard work.
