The Massapequa Chamber of Commerce is so honored to announce that the Breast Cancer Awareness Month Walk, in honor and memory of our beloved friend and Past President Patricia Orzano, raised a grand total of $6,000, which we proudly presented to two amazing organizations – Mondays Cancer Care and Hewlett House. It was very special to have the opportunity to present these donations to both organizations in person.
Mondays Cancer Care and Hewlett House provide much needed support services to those afflicted by cancer. Mondays Cancer Care provides hands on integrative wellness and beauty services to anyone undergoing cancer treatment of any kind. Hewlett House is a community learning resource center for all cancer concerns.
All services are free of charge, and both organizations rely entirely on the generosity of their donors. This is why we are so especially grateful to all those who contributed to this fundraising effort in support of Mondays Cancer Care and Hewlett House – especially the walk participants and all who donated in Patty’s memory, and our sponsors: Main Event Sponsor Masone Masonry; Coin Sponsor J.P. Scar Inc; and T-Shirt Sponsors Four Pebbles on a Bench by Gary Slavin and Drug Free Long Island – DFLI Coalition. Special thanks to Event Chairperson, Robert. R. Barrett, for all of his efforts in making this event a success.
Patty is in our hearts forever. She was an extremely philanthropic woman, and she always strived to give back, even while courageously fighting breast cancer. We are proud to follow her example and everlasting legacy.
