Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joe Saladino informs us that all occupants at the Budget Inn Motel on Carman Mill Rd. have been vacated from the property. After the Supervisor requested help, County Executive Bruce Blakeman’s administration has relocated all social service clients to safer conditions at other locations in Nassau County. As reported, the courts have ordered 24 hour security at the site (which has been put in place). Additionally, Supervisor Saladino has ordered Public Safety Officers to patrol the location to ensure safety and compliance with the court order, which closed the motel to occupants. As part of the lawsuit, the Town of Oyster Bay will continue to push for its complete and permanent closure of the motel.
