PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE – MAY 2024 EDITION

As my term as President of the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve this incredible organization. It has been an honor to work alongside such a dedicated Board of Directors, committee members, and, most importantly, our exceptional membership.

Reflecting on Our Journey Together

Together, we’ve accomplished a great deal. We’ve increased our membership, launched valuable programs focused on getting more exposure for our restaurant members with the Taste of Massapequa program, and fostered a vibrant atmosphere of collaboration among our members with networking opportunities throughout the year. These achievements stand as a testament to the collective spirit and unwavering commitment of the Massapequa business community.

A Chamber Built on Collaboration

I’m particularly proud of the strengthened sense of connection we’ve fostered among our members. The Chamber has become a true hub for collaboration, where businesses of all sizes can connect, share ideas, and support one another’s growth. This spirit of camaraderie is what makes Massapequa such a special place to do business.

The Future is Bright

As I pass the torch to the incoming president, Robin Hepworth, I have immense confidence in the future of the Massapequa Chamber. Robin brings a wealth of experience, being a lifetime resident and long-serving Board Member, and has a passion for our community that will undoubtedly propel the Chamber to even greater heights.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To each and every member, thank you for your unwavering support throughout my term. It has been a privilege serving alongside you. I have no doubt that the Massapequa Chamber will continue to be a driving force in our local economy for years to come.

Remembering our Past President Tony Ventiera

We recently lost our beloved Past President, Tony Ventiera, and the Massapequas won’t be the same without him. Tony was my personal mentor and confidant, as well as the unofficial historian of the Chamber. His efforts leading the Chamber’s Annual Community Street Festival has helped us support our mission of helping local businesses.  Tony will always be remembered, and we are proud to name one of our scholarships in his honor.
